Prepreg, a pre-impregnated carbon fabric, is characterised by an even distribution of resin combined with a high fibre volume content. This results in maximum strength and increased flexibility of the components. Processing in an autoclave ensures perfect, uniform curing and a flawless surface. This method prevents air inclusions in the material and ensures consistently high component quality.

The carbon components are laminated by hand with extensive experience and care, ensuring consistent fibre alignment without distortion. After curing in the autoclave, the edges of the components are precisely cut by robot to ensure a perfect fit and the highest quality.

A globally unique step in Ilmberger's production process is the complete plastic powder coating of all carbon components. This coating not only protects the components against environmental influences but also gives them an incomparable depth effect. No other carbon manufacturer offers this type of sealing, which prevents the components from ageing and significantly extends their service life.

The final clear-coat layer on this component has a satin-matt finish and provides a perfectly smooth surface that further emphasises the luxurious, sporty appearance of the carbon components. Every component that leaves production is a masterpiece of engineering and design that meets the highest standards.
