The pilion seat cover without brackets in carbon for the BMW R nineT replaces the original component using the original attachment points.
Most prominent are the weight savings (as a rule, a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part is made completely of pre-preg material (see FAQ) in accordance with the newest guidelines in autoclaves and in the next step – as usual for us – it’s covered with a plastic cover to protect against impacts on the environment. This plastic covering exceeds the customary clear lacquer covering in the protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability to a large degree. But the covering does not only score technically, it also clearly underscores the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
