If the motorcycle falls over or falls, the axle protection pads ensure that the swing arm, the wheel axle and the chain tensioning device are effectively protected from damage.
The protective pads distance these components in the event of punctual or dragging contact with the ground or the road and thus reduce or avoid expensive damage to the motorcycle. In addition to the choice of material, we have structurally integrated two essential, specific properties and tested them in racing, namely damping and frictional resistance, which increases progressively in the sliding phase.
Damping: The first positive property to be mentioned is damping, which in the event of sudden forces can absorb part or all of the impact energy and absorb it.
The frictional resistance: The second positive property is the frictional resistance, which increases due to the component geometry from the outside to the inside by increasing the effective sliding surface. In this way, we achieve that our axle protection pad offers only a low frictional resistance in the event of light touches, but shortens the grinding phase in terms of time and space, for example in the case of prolonged, dragging contact with the road. In other words, in the event of a fall with the axle protection pad, the time in which the motorcycle slips is shortened, as is the sliding path itself.
